We were just in time to be able to capture the last of the colour from this past fall. Timing this session just as the sun fell helped us to capture the last of the warm golden tones of the season. Fall family photograph take place all through October with the peek ranging throughout the month. You can never guarantee when the leaves will peek, luckily when working with beautiful subjects and optimum light you can always capture gold!
I love fall but dread the coming of winter. This session reminds me of how fast the leaves fall. One heavy rainstorm and they can all be gone in an afternoon. It is a magnificent thing to watch nature change and move into such a colourful way. Filling our view with bright red and yellow, deep plum and burnt orange shades, and every variation in between. After which we can look forward to living a life of frozen windshields and your face hurting when you go outside. I know snow is pretty. Pretty gross. In all honestly though, cozy nights and snowy evenings are amazing and all that comes with it. I do agree with some of the winter lovers out there, all three of you! Winter can be fun! It really can, plus it has the holidays, sweaters, Kevin McCallister and bailey's to offer. So there is some good there. All things considered, fall wins! Hands down!
Fall will always be my favourite season. It's my favourite time for family photography and whenever I'm doing a family session I am always on board for the colours of fall! Family sessions are booked solid every October and it's my busiest time of year. Not just family photography however, lots of my clients are getting married in the fall and booking their date right around the prime of the year. From engagement sessions to weddings, to family sessions and fall minis, there is always a hustle this time of year. I'm so happy to have made the last day of fall count and capture it with this sweet little fam before it was gone for another whole year. Good for me though, cause its April folks! This girl is going to be breathing in that sweet sunshine soon enough!
