You don’t need the perfect outfit, the leaves might have peeked already and the stain on your sons shirt is as bright as his smile. Not everything has to be perfect. You don’t have to hold your hands a certain way or pretend that taking family photos is fun. Instead let’s create some fun. Lets be silly, be close and be ourselves. Documenting real moments that are actually happy and not ones that pretend to be. Lets interact, play games, blow bubbles, swing….Floss….Karate kick…. Lets be real.
Life isn’t perfect, its better. It’s a constant changing cloud of chaos and love and it’s these moments (the real ones) thats I hold closest to my heart. I have a strong belief that most parents do. Our kids are amazing, hilarious, weird and beautiful little humans. Documenting these moments will hold more true then anything copied from Pinterest or found in the perfect family department store frame. I’ll give you ideas, directions and guidance to help keep things moving along. You don’t have to think about your photos. I’ll make the best use of our location, light and timing. A balance of both direction and documentary style photography for those looking for natural family photography in Durham region.
A big thank you to the amazing families that have taken part in our past Durham region fall mini sessions. I love seeing familiar faces and appreciate so much the opportunity to work with all of you. Fall is such a beautiful time of year and especially great for family photography. Capturing funny and silly moments of kids during a time when the background is as colourful as their personalities is a beauty of a thing. Sweet and simple moments, real connections, and joyful captures is what I’m all about. These wonderful families always deliver. Here are some of my favs from last year. I hope to share with you some really wonderful humans that I am so grateful to have shared some time with. Thank you to my wonderful clients. You have shared so many personal moments with me and I am just really thankful to you all.
Every year in Durham region I offer fall mini sessions. They are little photo sessions that spark just the right amount of time to capture some super cute family photos before your children decide they are done! 30 minutes is just the right amount of time to capture some cute family shots and in abundance. Candid and natural family photography with a background full of fall colour. I would love to hear from you, please email if interested in setting up your fall mini session. Families often book their fall shoot as early as August as fall is the busiest time of the year! Now, bring on the pumpkin!!!
