Families that have a special spot they want to take advantage of like a cottage, a favourite beach or family property they want to take their family photos at I encourage to  inquire about a family photography session. I love adding personal and sentimental value to a families photography experience. I welcome this and encourage families to inquire about a family session offered any time of year and flexibility to travel where needed. Summer mini sessions are booked all throughout Durham region, Clarington, Courtice, Bowmanville and surrounding areas. For summer mini sessions, I invite families to come to the location provided in order to take advantage of the limited golden hour light we can capture each day. 

The beach! As you can see I love photographing at the beach in the summer. The rocks are a real big hit for the kiddos. Being playful and silly when you have little kids is key to keeping the tone of your family session in a happy and easy place. Having a few structured family photos portrait style is always something I spend a little time on and once this has been accomplished I try to sneak in some silly moments and candid opportunities. I love getting the big beautiful and silly smiles of children. The ones that make you smile from your belly. It's important to make this experience fun and positive for kids. When this happens, smiles come easy and laughter is contagious. I love candid lifestyle family photography because It's relaxed for parents and playful for kids. It is the key to telling a families story in an authentic way. 

Little babies In bathtubs living it up in the summer sun, or mamas and their boys watching the sunset over one of Ontarios most beautiful beaches. Family connections and laughter is the heart of these sessions. Warm evenings and golden light clearing the way for beautiful summer photography for families in the Clarington and Durham region. 

All through July, summer mini sessions are available in Durham Ontario. Outdoor evening sessions scheduled to take advantage of golden hour. Limited session times are available due to the best light of the day being only within about 2-3 hours.  Evening sessions are scheduled here in Durham region and are available both weekend and weekday. Sessions include 20 of your favourite images, edited with love, print release and digital download link at $275.00 +hst. Enjoy your photos fully and share and love them with your family and in your home. 

Durham region Family photography sessions are scheduled at multiple locations. Many of my clients have been with me for 5-10 years or more. I like to take them to favourite spots and new places all in an effort to keep their family photography both new and fresh. I’m always searching for beautiful places to photograph all of my families new and returning. I love seeing these faces grow and appreciate the wonderful families I see each year. Meeting new families and children is exciting for me. I love to photograph new faces!  This year like many others you will find me in Clarington quite often. Several galleries here are taken right in Courtice. Local sessions are available until July 31st and can be easily scheduled by sending a quick email. Summer mini sessions happen once a year and offer a great way to update or capture first time family photos. Summer mini sessions and all Durham region family photography sessions are especially focused on playful and candid moments. A lifestyle family session that offers both relaxed candid photography in addition to some portrait style images as well. A combination of both that allows both kids and parents to enjoy this experience. Family photography isn’t always easy for some families, creating candid moments and finding a place kids can explore is one of the big ways to make a photography session successful. 

Summer mini sessions here in Durham Ontario are cheeky and fun. They work well for toddlers and children who are energetic and love to explore. Some set posed photos will be the start to our session most time, then more candid and relaxed for the remainder. Children in most cases don't have a huge attention span for sitting in one place for too long. Taking advantage of this short time and adding in candid prompts and directions to just being able to have fun with your kiddos is key. Summer sessions are a fun way to connect with nature and the environment and most importantly with you children. Portraits, lifestyle candid and even a little digital art in the form of nature, experience and settings will drive this photography session to provide a contrast of images that work together to create beautiful gallery walls and filled albums.

Additional subjects can be added to your session at $35 for each additional subject after 6. These summer mini sessions can be used for maternity photography, family, couples and milestones.
