Port Hope wedding at Penryn Park
Penryn Park in Port Hope is a stunning wedding venue. It’s perfect for couples who love a timeless and effortless day where family and friends can mingle and relax. With both indoor and outdoor options and a large full grounds to explore, penryn park port hope is one of my fav durham region wedding venue, especially when it comes to wedding photography. The style of these beautiful old buildings have so much character and texture. There is so much space for getting ready and with large window, this airy space offers lots of movement and options for a big wedding party. Having been a wedding photographer here in Bowmanville and all across durham region and I’ve seen so many different wedding venues. I can definitely see what ones really make the day easier for a couple. This is something I feel makes the day easier for all couples. Being able to get ready, get married and celebrate all in one space is the icing here. Less stress, less travel for family and less work for the wedding day couple.
This couple was effortless when it came to candid shots. Documentary style wedding photography is my specialty and so I love when couples tell me that there vision sides more on the candid and documentary style side of wedding photography too. I always offer romantic posed wedding shots but I will take every opportunity to help create candid moments. I want to always provide instructions that offer beautiful lighting, a stunning backdrop but weigh heavily when it comes to real moments captured on camera.
A few highlights that I loved about this wedding day! The bride styled her hair in the most beautiful ponytail. I love a bridal ponytail. The wedding dress she wore had pockets. Pockets in a wedding dress is the best. Comfy shoes. If your wedding dress is so long that you can’t see your shoes, why not wear something comfortable. This bride and groom chose to have a small intimate wedding party which allowed them to really enjoy the company of these very close loved ones the morning of the wedding. It was relaxed and calm and just right for their day. Lastly, one of my fav little details was the live band that played outside in a separate tent during the evening portion of this very timeless and fun wedding celebration. I loved watching the bride and her dad belt it out to Bruce Springsteen. It was a party!
Documentary style wedding photography was the style this couple resonated with. A More authentic and candid style of imagery was the best way for this bride and groom to feel most comfortable in front of the camera. It really was a fantastic party and I only hope is that this wonderful couple had as much fun as their guests. Congratulations and wishing you both so much love and happiness.
